Festival Cinema Brasil 2006 Raffle Results!

Here are the results of the Festival Cinema Brasil 2006 Raffle!
The lucky winner of the raffle organized by the Festival Cinema Brasil 2006 was Marli, a Brazilian woman who won a pair of round-trip air tickets to Brazil, sponsored by JAL. She had just returned from her trip accompanied by her son when we interviewed her.

She sent us pictures from her trip, which were published together with the interview where she expressed her feelings about winning the raffle and her impressions about the Festival.

See below the interview with Marli, the winner of the raffle:
1. Marli, could you tell us how you felt when you knew you had won the grand prize, a round-trip ticket, to Brazil?
Oh, it was so exciting! When I received a phone call informing me that I had won, I couldn’t believe it because for the first time in my life, I won a prize, I mean, such a prize, so I got very excited and I leapt for joy.

2. Could you tell us how your trip back to Brazil was?
It was really enjoyable. I had a wonderful time because I was able to see all my family again, eat my mother’s food, meet friends whom I hadn’t seen for a long time and make that delicious Brazilian barbecue. No doubt many Brazilians living in Japan are itching to do the same!

3. What movies have you seen this year? Could you give us your opinion about the movies?
I saw the movie Doutores da Alegria, and I think it is distinct from other mainstream movies. It is a documentary movie whose content makes people laugh and cry, an interesting movie that manages to make us ponder and feel different emotions.

4. What is your opinion about the festival?
In my opinion the Festival Cinema Brasil features a diversity of films on various topics, which can satisfy all tastes. It is an event which provides us Brazilians the opportunity to see Brazilian movies, and at the same time points out to Japanese people that Brazilian cinema is well thought of worldwide.

5. What kind of movie would you like to see at the festival for next year?
Now I will have high expectations for the next festival, and I would like to see more comedy movies.
On this occasion, I would like to extend my special thanks to the organizers of the Festival Cinema Brasil and to JAL for this wonderful trip. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Marli. We are looking forward to seeing you at our 3rd Festival in 2007!

Now, we are making arrangements for the 3rd edition of the Festival Cinema Brasil.

We will be back soon with novelties and new projects for this year’s festival. This year, you shouldn’t miss it!
